Boats are the budget; everything else is noise
A Flores budget is dominated by two things: the boat you take into Komodo National Park and the vehicle you cross the island in. Accommodation, food and local transport are genuinely inexpensive by comparison.
That is why the daily range is so wide. A backpacker on shared boats and guesthouses lands near the bottom; the same route on a private charter with good hotels lands several times higher without changing a single stop.
Park fees are the one figure nobody negotiates. They are government-set, revised periodically, and identical whichever operator you book through.

How much does a Flores trip cost per day?
Roughly US$30–150, driven almost entirely by which boats you take and where you sleep. Park fees are fixed and identical for everyone.
What does accommodation cost?
About US$10–100 a night. Guesthouses at the low end, comfortable hotels in Labuan Bajo at the top. Inland the ceiling is lower simply because the stock is.
How much is diving?
Around Rp 1,800,000–3,300,000 per person for a three-dive day. Liveaboard diving is priced separately and includes tanks differently by operator.
Are park fees included in tour prices?
Usually itemised separately rather than bundled, so you can see the government-set portion. Confirm which when you get the quote.
Is Flores cheaper than Bali?
On the ground, yes for food and transport. The boats and park fees are the exception, and they are the bulk of a Komodo budget.
Does group size change the price?

Why do published prices vary so much?
Because boat class and cabin type span a very wide range. A number quoted without naming the vessel is not comparable to one that does.
Should I carry cash?
Yes. Card acceptance is patchy outside hotels and larger operators, and ATMs in smaller towns are unreliable.
